Bartech Systems International is a premier organization specializing in the development, marketing, and support of fully automated, in-room minibar systems tailored for the hospitality sector. This role is under the supervision of the Customer Service Director.
Travel across North America is an essential part of this position, requiring on-site engagements. A valid passport is necessary.
Weekend travel may occur occasionally.
The primary responsibility involves delivering on-site technical assistance for installation, training, troubleshooting, repairs, and additional customer support, with the position based in the Las Vegas, NV headquarters. The role also encompasses Tier 2/3 helpdesk support within a standard 40-hour workweek, classified as non-exempt hourly employment.
The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable, hands-on professional with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Previous roles should include IT support or applications within the hospitality industry.
- Install and configure minibars in hotel rooms, ensuring both hardwired and wireless Ethernet connectivity, while troubleshooting any network issues.
- Test and set up Bartech's custom hardware using integrated automated testing protocols.
- Possess a working knowledge of network setup and administration, including familiarity with wireless access points and contemporary networking hardware.
- Understand web server configurations and administration, with IIS experience required.
- Provide on-site and remote support for Windows Client/Server systems, including but not limited to Windows Server 2008 R2 and newer, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and newer.
- Utilize industry-standard debugging tools effectively.
- Read and write technical documentation proficiently.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, including telephony, communication, active listening, and customer care.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Experience in the IT industry in a support or administrative capacity.
- Familiarity with modern networking practices, concepts, and equipment.
- Prior experience with Salesforce as a CRM tool.
- Proficient in using standard packet analysis tools such as Wireshark for troubleshooting network connectivity.
- Well-versed in Microsoft enterprise-level software, including but not limited to: Windows Server, Windows Workstation Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Internet Information Services, Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of installation and operation of hotel guestroom technology.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Qualifications:
A two-year degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience/training is preferred.
