Job Overview

As a Splunk Cloud Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the Splunk cloud infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and performance.

Your responsibilities will include mentoring junior Splunk engineers, maintaining operational procedures, and enhancing the security and monitoring capabilities of the Splunk service.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the Splunk cloud environment.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers in the effective management of the platform.
  • Ensure that operational procedures are regularly updated and adhered to.
  • Continuously enhance the security and functionality of the Splunk service.
  • Design and implement enhancements to Splunk's monitoring capabilities.

Required Qualifications:
  • More than 10 years of experience in Splunk administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing Splunk Cloud.
  • Over 5 years of experience with Syslog.
  • More than 5 years of experience in Linux environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Splunk Observability or a similar field.
  • Ability to create Splunk dashboards for administrative functions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise IT Infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise Security and related domains.
  • Proficient in optimizing searches and enhancing performance.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to support a global team.
  • Willingness to commit to extended hours during service disruptions.

Essential Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong collaboration abilities to work effectively across various business functions.
