Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resort Operations Manager to join our team at Wyndham Destinations. As a key member of our resort operations team, you will be responsible for the daily management of the resort's Housekeeping and Guest Services departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operation of the resort's Housekeeping and Guest Services departments, ensuring that all administrative, accounting, property guest service, property housekeeping, associate development, and other functions are carried out to the highest standards.
  • Meet the needs of our owners and guests by ensuring that all rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and that all guest requests are met in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and control payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability, while ensuring that all staff are properly trained and equipped to provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Communicate priorities to staff through daily and weekly meetings, and ensure that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in achieving our resort's goals.
  • Identify areas of process improvement and implement changes to ensure efficient processing for the team and guests.
  • Manage strict room inventory to achieve the highest possible room occupancy percentage, and manage guest accounts to ensure that all rates are correct and that all necessary authorizations are obtained.
  • Review incoming groups to ensure that all blocking needs and front office requirements are met, and relay information to the appropriate staff.
  • Ensure that all guest resolutions are achieved and all guest concerns are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
  • Own and manage the Internal Audit process, ensuring that all departmental compliance with Quality Assurance, Loss Prevention, and safety standards procedures are met.
  • Manage and support all financial aspects of the department, including preparing the annual department budget and identifying areas of cost reductions and operational improvements.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coach, mentor, and train staff.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to make informed decisions that drive business results.
  • 2 to 5 years of hotel/resort experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
