Job Summary

  • Maintain a Materials Safety Data Sheet binder with current information and review it with employees
  • Ensure all OSHA standards are met or exceeded, and provide a safe work environment
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings and produce safety communication in writing and orally
  • Maintain an equipment maintenance log for each piece of equipment in your span of control
  • Obtain all necessary supplies and equipment to perform duties
  • Ensure functions are manned according to the posted schedule, and find replacements for employees who call in sick
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee complaints, assist employees with duties, and monitor breaks
  • Train employees on the safe, effective, and efficient use of materials and equipment
  • Document employee performance according to procedure, including case notes and annual performance evaluations
  • Complete and maintain routine paperwork for each employee, such as payroll and vacation accrual
  • Promote and maintain positive lines of communication with government personnel
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Hudson and Associates, LLC and the U.S. Government
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, advanced degree preferred
  • Three to five years supervisory experience required, experience working with people with disabilities highly preferred
  • Knowledge of procedures involved in maintaining operations as per government requirements
  • Ability to work with minimal error under time constraints, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, and may require the ability to obtain secret clearance
