Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Property Management. This role will be responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple housing communities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple housing communities, including budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with HUD regulations, HAS policies, and other relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote high levels of occupancy and resident satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with residents, community agencies, and other stakeholders to address concerns and provide support.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including occupancy rates, budget variances, and resident satisfaction.
  • Provide training and guidance to site personnel on policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve resident engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in affordable housing, including 2 years at the supervisory or managerial level.
  • Master's degree preferred. Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation preferred.
  • Knowledge of HUD policies, HAS procedures, and other relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular site visits, which may involve exposure to outdoor elements, construction sites, and confrontations with residents, employees, and contractor personnel. The work environment is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to outdoor developments and facilities.
