Position Summary:

The Applications team is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our software platforms. This role involves identifying essential applications that enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities include coordinating the installation, upgrades, and future developments of software applications utilized within the organization. The position entails planning and executing business platforms/applications, determining business needs, conducting process analyses, and engaging with key vendors to deepen our understanding of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Investigate opportunities to enhance application processes. Contribute to the development of controls and processes that improve application services. Provide troubleshooting and resolution support for systems, and identify automation opportunities to enhance the application suite.
  • Incident Management: Support incident management processes by monitoring ticket queues and resolving production performance, server, and application-related issues to restore the environment.
  • Innovation: Develop new processes for improved support and training, and create automation solutions to minimize human error.
  • Compliance: Maintain awareness of and adhere to organizational policies and regulations.
Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of IT experience in application support, systems/network administration, or related areas.
  • 1+ years of experience in developing and documenting procedures.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Credit Union or Financial Services environment (preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Proficient in Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Strong incident management and response capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:

This position may require occasional standing, walking, and lifting of up to 40 lbs. Frequent sitting and repetitive motions are expected. The role demands effective communication and coordination with various stakeholders.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
