Job Title: Behavioral Health Therapist I

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Trinity Health - IHA as a Behavioral Health Therapist I. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate therapist to provide high-quality care to children and adolescents in the Canton/Northville area.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Therapist I will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based therapy to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' and families' behavioral and emotional health and develop treatment plans that reflect their values, goals, and needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy to patients and families, using evidence-based approaches.
  • Collaborate with the patient's clinical team to plan and facilitate the patient's receipt of appropriate therapeutic services.
  • Complete patient-related documentation and communicate relevant clinical information to the patient, referring provider(s), and treatment team in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Understand and apply relevant laws and regulations related to mental health treatment, including HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid license to provide mental health services in the State of Michigan.
  • At least one year of experience providing mental health clinical services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
