Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to lead our automotive engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing project activities from Phase 0 to Phase 5 of the product development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical activities on assigned automotive product development projects.
  • Translate customer requirements into specifications and testing activities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through DFMEA and other methods.
  • Collaborate with laboratory resources to complete testing activities.
  • Work with the automotive team to gain skills and augment capabilities.
  • Ensure production procedures and controls are developed to efficiently utilize equipment.
  • Provide technical interface between key customers and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering – Master of Science preferred.
  • Six Sigma greenbelt certification preferred.
  • Five to eight years of product/process engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of magnet wire products and applications preferred.
  • Strong project planning and management skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and correct situations using engineering first principles.
  • Effective customer communication skills.

Travel Requirements

Travel 20-30% domestically; 10% internationally.
