About the Role

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and integrating circuit card assemblies at the board level and system level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop PWBs and circuit card assemblies in accordance with requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and software engineers, to integrate analog and digital electronics.
  • Lead the development of system-level integration plans and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Perform systems engineering activities related to the development of electronic assemblies.
  • Conduct trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Provide technical solutions to complex problems, leveraging expertise in aircraft power, analog and digital design, and software systems concepts.
  • Work under management guidance to develop and implement solutions, with a focus on meeting objectives and delivering results.
  • Represent SAIC in providing solutions to technical issues associated with projects and contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.
  • Provide full lifecycle support for SAIC-provided systems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree and at least nine (9) years of experience.
  • Expertise in analog and digital design, including serial communication, logic design, power design, signal filtering, and wave shaping.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team with software, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers.
  • Experience with configuration management toolsets for version control of hardware, software, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with embedded microprocessors and FPGAs.
  • Experience bringing products from design to production.
  • Able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience with DOORS and Aras toolsets.
  • Knowledge of circuit simulation.
  • DoD weapons integration experience.
  • Safety-critical hardware design and analysis experience.
  • Product life cycle management experience.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Defense Acquisition and Logistics Life Cycle Management System, System Engineering Technical Review process, or FDA Design Control Guidance for Medical Devices processes.
  • Able to provide limited stakeholder briefing and communications.
