Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at University Hospitals, providing high-quality patient care in our Inpatient Pulmonary Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop accurate diagnoses based on current scientific research and evidence-based practices.
  • Establish and implement individualized care plans, incorporating current protocols and standards of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
  • Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, monitoring patient progress and adjusting as needed.
  • Contribute to the educational development of staff, patients, and families, promoting professionalism and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and management, advancing the growth and development of the team.
  • Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise as a practitioner, with a strong foundation in pulmonary care.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in the use of technical patient care devices, computers, and office equipment.
Education and Expertise
  • Nurse Practitioner: Doctorate in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus on clinical practice.
  • Physician Assistant: Completion of a formal Physician Assistant training program, with NCCPA certification.
