Surgical Care Advanced Practitioner

Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification to serve as a primary surgical assistant and oversee the care of hospitalized patients in partnership with attending surgeons across various specialties.
Work Schedule:
This role will primarily involve day shifts, with the potential for weekend and holiday responsibilities in the future.
Experience Requirements:
We prefer candidates with at least one year of experience as a surgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP). However, we are open to considering recent graduates who have relevant surgical experience or clinical rotations in surgical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and establish diagnoses based on collected data and current scientific evidence.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients and their families.
- Order and execute standard diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of therapeutic interventions.
- Contribute to the educational growth of staff, patients, families, and oneself.

Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Proven competency as a healthcare practitioner.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with various technical patient care devices relevant to the clinical environment.
- Proficiency in using computers and selected office equipment.
Educational Background:
- Doctorate in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on clinical practice.
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant training program with NCCPA certification.
