Position Overview
The Clinical Practice Specialist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care while enhancing patient access and satisfaction. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, focusing on general cardiology.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Practice Specialist, you will:
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with patients and customers (10%)
  • Build collaborative relationships with colleagues (10%)
  • Engage in self-development and contribute to a learning environment (10%)
  • Demonstrate commitment to the hospital's mission and values (10%)
  • Conduct patient assessments and formulate diagnoses based on comprehensive evaluation and current research (20%)
  • Develop and implement care plans in alignment with established protocols and standards (15%)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to patients and their families (5%)
  • Contribute to the educational growth of staff, patients, and families (5%)
  • Exhibit leadership and effective management skills (5%)
  • Provide educational support through role modeling and in-service training (5%)
  • Advance personal professional development through continuous learning and peer review participation (5%)
Qualifications
Education:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Preferred Skills:
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in accessing patient medical data and using Microsoft Office applications
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and Nurse Practitioner (NP) license or
  • Current Physician Assistant (PA) license in Ohio
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
Physical Demands:
This role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying, with the ability to handle physical tasks associated with patient care.
