About the Role:
As an Area Operations Manager at Goldmark Property Management Inc, you will leverage your enthusiasm for cultivating and guiding teams to fulfill our mission of enhancing the living experience for our residents, team members, and client-owners each day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture owner relationships while conveying investment prospects.
  • Collaborate with Property Managers to execute impactful sales, marketing, and advertising initiatives that attract new residents, bolster the Goldmark brand at the property level, and enhance resident retention.
  • Oversee the management of the regional portfolio and follow up on feedback derived from the Kingsley Resident Satisfaction program.
  • Ensure that property teams are adhering to, communicating, and complying with all Fair Housing, EPA laws and regulations, as well as Federal, State, and Local property management statutes, including government programs such as Section 42 and Section 8.
  • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets for each property within your portfolio.
  • Develop and implement enhancement strategies for properties that are not achieving key performance indicators.
  • Guide and advise on vendor selection and management to ensure optimal use of vendor resources.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and lead team members to excel with a focus on transforming the lives of those we serve.

Must be prepared to dedicate 50% or more of your time at properties within your regional portfolio, concentrating on providing hands-on support and guidance in resident relations, marketing, property management, and team development strategies.


Experience & Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A four-year degree in business or a related field is preferred; or two to four years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of leadership experience directly or indirectly managing a team of 20 or more members.
  • Three or more years of experience in property management within a multi-family setting is preferred.
  • Prior management experience, including training and coaching, oversight of financial and/or operational processes, and the ability to build and maintain budgets within a service or sales environment.
  • Ability to navigate complex customer and team member situations through effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Yardi, and similar tools.
  • Willingness to work extended hours in a demanding and occasionally stressful environment, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Demonstrated capability to train and develop team members.
