Position Overview:
As a Cyber Risk Management Officer, you will be an integral part of the Classified Cyber Security Team, dedicated to supporting Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that classified information systems comply with cyber security standards and governmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will utilize your technical expertise to:
  • Analyze the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) to determine the necessary Information Assurance (IA) requirements, perform cyber risk assessments, and conduct vulnerability analyses to ensure effective security implementations within the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Create comprehensive system documentation for information system authorization, security governance, and ongoing monitoring of both networked and standalone systems.
  • Verify that selected security controls are correctly implemented and functioning as intended throughout all stages of the Information System lifecycle.
  • Conduct proactive security monitoring in line with DoD protocols by overseeing security infrastructure and alarm systems for Indicators of Compromise (IOC) using SIEM and cybersecurity tools.
  • Manage hardware/software configurations, maintain data integrity, and investigate IA-related security incidents.
  • Collaborate with cyber systems security engineers, system architects, and developers to ensure the development of secure technical solutions.
  • Engage in the implementation of current and future security domains, including emerging service areas such as Cloud Computing and DevSecOps.

Basic Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you must possess:
  • A DoD 8570/8140 approved baseline certification for IAT Level 2 (Security+ or equivalent).
  • Experience in implementing or managing cyber security protocols on classified systems in accordance with JSIG, NISPOM, ICD 503, and/or CNSSI 1253.
  • Proficiency with Linux or Windows Operating Systems and Windows Domain infrastructure (e.g., Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, Group Policy Objects, Active Directory).
  • A Final Top Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Advanced knowledge in assessing comprehensive cybersecurity programs, including risk management, reviewing system security plans (SSPs), and identifying secure system configurations.
  • Experience providing technical security guidance for complex classified network environments in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple client demands while driving security initiatives.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps or software development practices, including tools like Docker, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Experience in Special Access Program (SAP) environments.
Security Clearance Statement:
This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.
