This is an in-office position that requires a creative writer who can lead the development of marketing content for proposals and presentations.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and prepare marketing content for proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.
* Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings.
* Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal.
* Enter and monitor marketing tracking data.
* Coordinate requirements with contributors and contribute proposal status information to review meetings.
* Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
* Develop proposal content by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation.
* Oversee the writing, quality control, and edits drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
* Prepare creative presentations by evaluating text, graphics, and binding and coordinating printing.
* Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support database.
* Obtain approvals by reviewing proposals with key providers and Project Managers.
* Improve proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes.

Requirements:

* In-design software experience.
* Strong writing and editing skills and exceptional graphic layout design skills.
* Technical documentation and with strategic planning ability.
* Problem solving with strong time management and planning skills.
* Deadline-oriented.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Graphic Design, Marketing, English or Communication desired.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in proposal writing preferably in the construction, engineering, or architecture industry.
