Security Associate - SECURITY Division, Providence Health & Services
The Security Associate operates under the guidance of the Security Manager, Supervisor, or Lead Security Officer. This role encompasses a range of protective responsibilities aimed at safeguarding patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property, and facilities from accidents, harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access. The Security Associate enforces organizational policies and regulations while investigating incidents of potential criminal activity affecting staff, visitors, and property. Responsibilities also include responding to situations requiring restraint of individuals, detaining persons when necessary, and providing protective services in high-risk areas. Additionally, support may be required for any Providence or affiliated organization during emergency situations in the local service area.

Work Schedule: Part-Time, Variable shifts, 32 hours
Essential Qualifications:
- Training: Completion of Security Academy, Department Field Training Officer Program, AVADE Levels I, II, & III, OC/Pepper Spray, Baton, CEW/Taser, Handcuffing, CPR/AED, and Basic Healthcare Security Training within 90 days of employment.
- Driving may be necessary for this position. Caregivers must comply with all state driving laws and requirements, providing proof of driver’s license and auto insurance upon request.
- Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, History, or English.
- One year of experience in Law Enforcement, Security, Military, or Corrections, or two years of relevant work experience in a healthcare environment.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
