Job Summary

The Texas School for the Deaf is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our recruitment, hiring, and compensation programs. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an online recruiting presence to attract top talent
• Work with hiring managers to create job descriptions and job postings
• Manage the agency hiring process, including conducting criminal history checks and coordinating fingerprinting of new employees
• Develop and recommend agency compensation strategies to support recruitment and retention efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management, business, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in HR, preferably in a Texas State agency or school district
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
