Job Description

Farm Credit Bank of Texas is a leading wholesale bank that has been financing agriculture and rural America for over 100 years. We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Human Resources Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of HR professionals in providing guidance to managers and employees on talent management, diversity and inclusion, payroll, benefits, and retirement.
  • Partner with leaders to coach and consult on HR-related matters, leveraging expertise to influence business decisions.
  • Administer, interpret, and assist in revising human resource practices, policies, and procedures, providing advice and counsel to managers on personnel practices, employment laws, and employee relations issues.
  • Collaborate with the plan administrator to design and implement benefit plans, interpreting provisions and making recommendations for enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal discrimination and employment regulations, as well as USCIS regulations, including I-9 and employee immigration programs.
  • Provide HR reports to the Sr. VP of HR, assisting in evaluating reports, budgets, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals.
  • Handle employee counseling, employee assistance program, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing, resolving employee relations issues using conflict resolution best practices.
  • Oversee employee meetings and engagement events, presenting at HR-sponsored activities, programs, training sessions, committee meetings, and preparing supporting materials.
  • Respond to bank audits on personnel practices, affirmative action plans, diversity, and salary administration processes.
  • Recommend an operational budget for HR areas of responsibility, providing necessary resources to carry out required functions effectively and efficiently.
  • Oversee Diversity Council activities and administration to support strategic diversity goals.
  • Consult with association contacts on general employment issues.
  • Oversee department records management and enterprise content management processes.
  • Serve as department data steward.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, industrial relations, or related field, plus seven or more years of direct HR experience with a concentration in HR administration, employee relations, payroll, and business partnership.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations relating to general HR administration, employment practices, and wage & hour disciplines.
  • Ability to lead, control, organize, and plan day-to-day work operations of the HR function, including payroll, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and diversity programs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong business judgment, and supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with the latest thinking in HR practices, strong interpersonal, influencing, coaching, communication, and presentation skills, project management and conflict resolution skills, creative problem-solving and decision-making skills.
