Job Description

As an Assistant Branch Manager at First Convenience Bank, you will play a vital role in the daily operation of our branch. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Center/Branch Manager in ensuring the smooth functioning of the branch, including preparing work schedules, assisting with bank balancing, staff meetings, customer care, and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Center/Branch Manager in the daily operation of staff
  • Prepare work schedules, assist with bank balancing, staff meetings, customer care, and concerns
  • Control security video process as directed by policy and upper management
  • Assist in delivering quality customer service through personal contact with customers and prospects, and adherence to approved quality standards
  • Accountable for achieving monthly new account production as assigned by upper management
  • Work closely with the manager to motivate staff to achieve retail and new account production
  • Manage the branch in the absence of the manager
  • Conduct training for new hires
  • Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the manager, including opening and closing the branch
Physical Requirements:
  • Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time, dependent on branch location
  • Operate a computer and other office machinery
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs may be required
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum of one year management/supervisory experience
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively develop business
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain sound relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Extensive cash handling experience
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must successfully pass a background investigation and drug screen according to company policy
  • Must be able to get along with coworkers and work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
  • Two-year college degree in business/management or related field
  • Banking industry experience
  • Familiarity with banking laws and ordinances, including Reg CC policies and OFAC
