Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers and clinical staff in gathering essential vital signs and preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, lab tests, and procedures to monitor patient health status.
  • Coordinate referrals for patients to specialists or outpatient services as directed by the provider, ensuring all necessary forms and coding are completed.
  • Address inquiries and provide education to patients and their families.
  • Facilitate and enhance relationships between providers and ancillary services.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the anatomical implications for clinic specialty services, including co-morbidities affecting patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
  • Current nursing license to practice in the State of Iowa/Illinois.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Certification in BLS and Mandatory Reporter.
  • Experience with computer data entry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
