Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers and clinical staff in gathering essential vital signs and preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, lab tests, and procedures to ensure ongoing patient monitoring.
  • Coordinate referrals for patients to specialists or outpatient services as directed by the provider, completing necessary forms and coding.
  • Address inquiries and provide education to patients and their families.
  • Facilitate and enhance relationships between providers within the clinic and with ancillary services.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the anatomical implications for specialty services, including co-morbidities affecting patient care.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Current nursing license in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Preferred prior clinical experience in a medical office setting.
  • Certification in BLS and Mandatory Reporter.
  • Experience with computer data entry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member.
