Position Overview: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for administering prescribed medications and providing essential personal care services to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being in accordance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications with precision and at designated times as per physician orders and resident care plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medications given and those withheld, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of residents.
  • Document any changes in residents' health status, personal needs, and vital signs.
  • Complete incident reports and maintain thorough records for each resident.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid and coordinating further medical care as necessary.
  • Communicate any concerns regarding residents to the appropriate supervisory staff.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Support residents with medical needs as outlined in their care plans.
  • Help with housekeeping tasks, meal service, and laundry as needed.
  • Encourage social interaction among residents and facilitate engaging activities.
  • Accompany residents on outings when required.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while using equipment and handling materials.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Report any workplace injuries to a supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident and operational information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid LPN license in the state of employment.
  • Experience in medication administration and patient care.
  • Basic First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with elderly populations.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Understanding of nursing practices specific to older adults.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for assisted living facilities.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
