Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at UC San Diego Health. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-register, pre-admit, and admit patients by telephone and/or in person
  • Collect and verify demographic information, review insurance benefits, and obtain prior authorizations
  • Interact with physicians, office personnel, and other hospital staff to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement
  • Provide support to higher-level Patient Access Representatives and other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in customer service or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • UC San Diego - Extended Studies Intensive Revenue Cycle Course Certificate (preferred)
