About the Role

The Department Operations Specialist is a critical position within the Dallas Independent School District, providing administrative support to Executive Directors and vertical teams. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the department, including scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, training sessions, and events, including travel arrangements and coordination with vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, processing payroll and managing budgets.
  • Compile data for reports and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among staff members.
Requirements
  • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent required; three years of directly related experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional and office equipment, with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of district personnel and the public, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and investigative skills.
  • Preferred ability to communicate in Spanish.
Estimated Salary Range

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
