Farming Business Development Specialist

Strutt & Parker's Farming team is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join their team as a Graduate Farming Consultant. As a key member of the Farm Management and Consultancy team in Stamford, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of farming matters, gaining knowledge and experience to develop a career in Farm Management Consultancy.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the farming team with various farm management activities, including contract farming agreements, farm business issues, financial monitoring, and technical advice.
- Develop and maintain a set of client contacts, driving business development and providing commercial business advice to clients.
- Advising on environmental issues, farm diversification, and compliance with current and upcoming government legislation and guidance.
- Provide advice and complete grant and subsidy applications on behalf of clients, including environmental land management and productivity grants.
- Assist with the preparation of internal and external reports, maintaining and developing relevant personal and technical skills.
- Agriculturally based University Degree.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Excellent IT skills, including the use of MS Office.
- Practical farm experience would be beneficial.
