Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the grant processing operations of the Center, ensuring timely review and submission of grant and internship reimbursement requests, and maintaining datasets related to program awardees and participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process grant and internship reimbursement requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date datasets related to program awardees and participants.
  • Assist with weekly processing of Accounts Payable as needed.
  • Support the Finance team during fiscal year-end close process and audit.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

  • Strong analytical, communication, time management, and attention to detail skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Team and independent work capability.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Initiative in completing assignments within deadlines.
Working Conditions
  • Work performed in both office and remote settings.
  • In-person work in Waltham, Massachusetts on Wednesdays and Thursdays, remote work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Regular work schedule of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Occasional adjustments to schedule and overtime may be required.
