We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role will be based in our Waltham, Massachusetts office. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a crucial role in addressing customer inquiries related to collections, managing account adjustments, and processing invoices. The ideal candidate will focus on minimizing the delinquency of assigned accounts while demonstrating strong communication skills. Furthermore, the Specialist will collaborate effectively with both staff and management in a timely manner. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a solid grasp of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Handle cash applications, bank deposits, customer account maintenance, upload invoices to portals, and reconcile collection discrepancies.
  • Exhibit the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while resolving issues promptly.
  • Engage with clients in a professional and anticipatory manner.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or business is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Prior experience in A/R Collections is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook (intermediate level).
  • Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Familiarity with various accounting platforms is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $65,000 - $70,000 annually
  • Standard working hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
