Key Responsibilities:
The Engineering Geologist will play a crucial role in various projects, including:
- Conducting thorough geological research utilizing maps, reports, and GIS data.
- Managing and executing geotechnical field investigations, including drilling and mapping.
- Creating detailed geotechnical documentation such as maps, cross-sections, and boring logs.
- Preparing comprehensive geotechnical design reports for diverse projects.
- Performing construction inspections and geological observations for grading projects.
- Overseeing project management tasks, including proposals, budgets, and timelines.
- Enhancing technical skills to integrate with our multidisciplinary team of Engineers and Geologists.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Geological Sciences
- Licensed California Professional Geologist (PG) and Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG)
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical consulting
- Proficient in conducting geotechnical investigations and preparing associated documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client relations.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with effective time management skills.
- Valid vehicle for fieldwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Geological Sciences
- Knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering principles
- Experience in Project Management for public and private sector clients
- Familiarity with software tools such as GIS, gINT, and AutoCAD.
