Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Architectural Drafter to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects. This individual will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and work collaboratively with all employees within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed technical drawings and construction documents while supporting project management activities.
  • Act as the CAD lead on various projects, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance across all outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce precise drawings, plans, and construction exhibits.
  • Support all architectural project phases from conceptual design through construction, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeliness.
  • Prepare and revise construction documents, incorporating feedback and corrections from senior staff while ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Lead the CAD design process on assigned projects, taking responsibility for the accuracy and quality of drawings, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Coordinate submittals for client reviews, government agency approvals, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Work with sketches, layouts, and verbal instructions to prepare comprehensive drawings.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in architecture or related field and 4+ years of drafting experience in an architectural or engineering environment OR
  • Bachelors degree in architecture or related field and 3+ years of drafting experience in an architectural or engineering environment.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and drafting software.
  • Strong knowledge of drafting principles and techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate drawings.
  • Proficiency with BlueBeam and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Client management and relationship-building experience with the ability to maintain long-term relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with architectural and/or engineering industry-specific technical knowledge.

Benefits:

  • Salary range based on experience and qualifications: $60,000-$85,000 annual salary.
  • Bonuses based on individual and firm performance.
  • Benefits include health care plan, dental plan, vision plan, and 401k plan.
  • Flexible work environment with every other Friday off.
