Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve tasks related to project planning, oversight, and coordination of systems analysis pertaining to networks and telecommunications.

You will address customer inquiries regarding various information technology and telecommunications project-related challenges, analyze issues, and propose effective solutions.

Your duties will include planning and executing new and modified information systems and telecommunications equipment.

You will also engage in on-site evaluations and/or review project details to assess the functionality and quality of services provided.

Qualifications

Conditions of Employment:

To qualify for GS-11: Your resume must illustrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector, performing a broad range of technical and project management tasks in the planning, development, integration, utilization, and modification of information technology services.

To qualify for GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector, assisting in a wide range of technical and project management activities in the planning, development, integration, utilization, and modification of information technology services.

Essential Skills

Your experience should reflect proficiency in the following areas:

  1. Attention to Detail: Demonstrates thoroughness in work and conscientiousness in attending to detail.
  2. Customer Service: Engages with clients to assess their needs, provide information, and resolve issues effectively.
  3. Oral Communication: Effectively conveys information to individuals or groups, considering the audience and context.
  4. Problem Solving: Identifies problems, evaluates information, and generates viable solutions.

Conditions of Employment Continued:
  • Ability to operate government vehicles on public roads and military installations.
  • Must obtain and maintain Information Assurance Technician Level 2 (IAT-2) certification within six months of hire.
Educational Requirements

All degrees and coursework must be from accredited institutions. A degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management is required, or a degree that includes a minimum of 24 semester hours in these fields.

For GS-11: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. is required.

For GS-09: A master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree is required.

A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying through education.
