Job Overview

Position Summary - The individual in this role will be tasked with the installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of electric signage.

Reporting Structure - This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Work Environment - This role involves traveling to various job sites.

Employment Type - Full-time, salaried (exempt).

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts Electrician License.
  • Capable of obtaining wiring and electrical permits.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems and components in compliance with Massachusetts Electrical Code and Safety Standards.
  • Conduct installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of signage and lighting, including controllers, transformers, ballasts, and power circuits.
  • Provide technical guidance to installation teams and lighting technicians.
  • Interpret work orders and adhere to instructions for the timely and quality completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with sales and production teams to address project-related inquiries and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Perform quality checks on completed work and manage job tracking through internal software.

Additional Duties

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are required:

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Licensed Massachusetts Master Electrician.
  • Proficient in computer use, particularly in a Windows environment.
  • Experience in a hands-on work setting.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Strong work ethic with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure.
  • Solid mathematical skills (addition, multiplication, division, geometry, fractions, and decimals).
  • Capability to lift materials weighing up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and devise solutions; comprehend and interpret work orders; follow both written and verbal instructions; multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy; and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High school diploma, trade school diploma, or GED.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master Electrician license in other New England states.
  • Experience in the signage industry.

  • Must regularly lift and/or move more than 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Capable of performing calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and geometry.
  • May be exposed to loud noises, dust, and fumes from the manufacturing environment.

Other Requirements

  • Candidates selected for this position will undergo a background screening.
  • Those with physical requirements may need to pass a Fit for Duty exam, which will be scheduled and funded by the company.
  • Individuals operating equipment or vehicles may be subject to pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • If not already obtained, employees must secure an OSHA 10 General Industry Card within 30 days of hire.
