Position Summary:

The Controls Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of electrical and control systems essential for our food production processes. This position is responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining operational efficiency, and adhering to safety and quality regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on food processing machinery to guarantee peak performance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety measures and quality standards, including adherence to company protocols regarding allergens, food safety, and HACCP.
  • Keep meticulous records of maintenance activities, ensuring documentation is thorough and current.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to maintain production timelines and swiftly resolve any equipment-related issues.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for effective management of work orders and documentation.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with a solid mechanical and electrical background, including knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems.
  • Prior experience in the food manufacturing sector is preferred, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of industry-specific challenges.
  • Formal education in electrical or electronic engineering technology is required, with additional mechanical or plumbing skills considered a plus.
