Job Overview
The Interim Technical Assistance Specialist is engaged for specific short-term initiatives. This role is directed by the technical support supervisor or the technical support specialist II.
Note: Currently, there are no active hiring projects.
Job Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems and applications across both Windows and Apple platforms.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage with frustrated users.
- Strong listening and analytical skills to assess issues and propose effective solutions.
- Willingness to work outside standard hours as necessary.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for work-related tasks.
- Basic understanding of computer networking.
- Ability to consistently follow instructions accurately.
- Capability to build and maintain productive working relationships.
- Adjusts printer settings as needed.
- Powers on computers and confirms network connectivity.
- Supports the Information Technology supervisor and network staff in monitoring application connectivity.
- Installs new computers and transfers user files and applications from existing systems.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking, and listening. Specific visual capabilities are necessary. The employee must regularly reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift items weighing less than 40 lbs. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, along with the cognitive ability to understand instructions, recall information, manage conflict, and make sound decisions under pressure. The role also demands the ability to handle the stress of working with a diverse range of individuals in a dynamic environment.
