Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue qualified sales leads through cold-calling and networking.
- Develop and execute a prospecting plan targeting top prospects.
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients, including senior executives and procurement managers.
- Continuously evaluate clients' business environments to identify opportunities where Maritz solutions can add value.
- Create compelling value propositions and sales strategies aligned with clients' business priorities.
- Successfully transition sold business to our Event Operations team.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted business partner.
- Gain deep insights into clients' businesses to identify new sales opportunities.
- Ensure service excellence and manage client expectations through project changes.
- Develop strategic networking plans within clients' decision-making hierarchies.
- Collaborate closely with Meeting Event Managers on all aspects of client programs.
- Conduct thorough research on clients' businesses, including industry trends and competitive analysis.
- Manage the CRM and update sales planning tools regularly.
- Handle expense reports and manage accounts payable related to sales financials.
- Submit work orders and monitor financial elements of assigned clients.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a client-facing operational or sales role within Meetings and Incentives or a related field.
- Strong understanding of pricing and profitability models.
- Willingness to travel 30% - 40% of the time.
- Prior sales and hunting experience preferred.
