ROLE DESCRIPTION

In this capacity, you will undertake a variety of administrative tasks that will bolster the efficiency of staff members in delivering quality services to the citizens of Pennsylvania. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of clerical and general office functions, adhering to established procedures and utilizing relevant systems. You will have the chance to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner, both face-to-face and over the phone.


Key duties include:

  • Utilizing basic computer skills for various office tasks such as data entry, customer service, scanning, imaging, filing, answering phones, and processing mail and voicemail.
  • Performing tasks under the general supervision of a Clerical Supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time position.
  • Standard work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 60-minute lunch break.
  • Occasional travel and overtime may be required.
  • Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain cases.

  • Work conditions are primarily in a controlled office setting, with potential reassignment to different work sites based on operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months of experience as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • High school graduation; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
  • Preference may be given to candidates residing within the relevant county.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions is necessary.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will necessitate the submission of criminal history reports.
