Position Overview

Flix NA is in search of a skilled and innovative Internal Communications Manager to enhance our corporate communications team. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing communication strategies that reflect exemplary employee engagement practices. Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Communications, you will significantly contribute to improving communication and engagement efforts aimed at our field employees, including drivers and mechanics. Additionally, you will assist in advancing the overall corporate internal communications, corporate culture, and change management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement internal communication strategies that align with the broader corporate communications objectives and organizational goals.
  • Establish and nurture effective communication channels tailored for field employees.
  • Produce compelling content that resonates with drivers, mechanics, and other team members.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of corporate culture initiatives and employer branding campaigns.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee engagement activities to promote a sense of community among field personnel.
  • Continuously propose innovative ideas, concepts, and campaigns to enhance employee communication.
  • Engage actively in project planning, scheduling, editing, and quality control.
  • Assist in the representation of Flix NA at industry events, gathering relevant materials for corporate communications and social media teams.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local managers and team leaders, to ensure effective implementation of communication strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and management of crisis communication strategies for field and frontline staff.
  • Ensure timely and coordinated responses to any issues impacting field employees.
  • Stay informed on current trends and events to provide insightful communication recommendations and thought leadership.
  • Be prepared to support colleagues and ongoing projects as necessary.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications within a global organization, with at least 3 years focused on field employees. Experience with unionized workforces is advantageous.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating clear perspectives on complex topics and crafting concise narratives.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, understanding the essential needs of the business.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing events, campaigns, and significant corporate initiatives.
  • Proficient in managing an editorial calendar and creating engaging content across diverse channels and formats.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management capabilities, skilled in sourcing content from various departments.
  • Expertise in developing creative strategies to engage diverse audiences through visual storytelling, video production, and multimedia experimentation. Familiarity with virtual event platforms is essential.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects with competing priorities, showcasing superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in creative tools and technologies for generating visually appealing content. Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus.
  • Adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative and flexibility.
  • Ability to establish metrics to assess communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement.
