Job Summary

Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Production Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in helping to turn creative ideas into tangible products.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with graphic designers to prepare their ideas for production, ensuring a thorough understanding of various materials and printing techniques.
    • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that machines are correctly set up and operations run smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
    • Utilize software like Adobe Creative Suite to review and adjust designs to ensure they can be easily produced, meeting the required specifications.
    • Improve production processes and resolve any issues that arise, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Pre-Production and Production
    • Prepare materials for production, including removing vinyl and organizing supplies, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
    • Keep the workspace clean and organized to support efficient production, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clutter-free environment.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure products meet the desired specifications by reviewing colors and designs before they are produced, adhering to quality standards.
    • Maintain quality standards throughout the production process to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Project Management and Coordination
    • Track project timelines to ensure all tasks are completed on time, meeting deadlines and delivering results.
    • Coordinate with different teams to ensure deadlines are met, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability
    • Address any design or production issues, such as adjusting for different materials or handling equipment problems, in a timely and effective manner.
    Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma is required; additional training or certifications in manufacturing or graphic design are beneficial.
  • Experience in manufacturing is helpful but not essential.
  • Proficiency with machines and design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks like standing for extended periods and lifting heavy materials.
  • Willingness to work extra hours if needed to meet deadlines.
