About the Role

Morrison Living, a member of Compass Group, North America, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall success of the food program, overseeing culinary functions and ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Coordinate and participate in the preparation and cooking of various food items, adhering to client culture and guidelines, Health Department regulations, and company standards.
  • Assist with planning and creating menus, rolling out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.
  • Manage cost controls and control expenditure, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including supervising and training back-of-house associates.
Requirements
  • 5 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year at the management level.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
  • Knowledge of food and industry trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel.
  • Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
