Clinical Nursing Educator

The role of the Clinical Nursing Educator involves the effective implementation of the College's educational philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through dedicated clinical instruction and service to the institution, community, healthcare system, and the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities- Conducts teaching primarily in a clinical environment alongside our esteemed clinical partners, typically involving 12-hour shifts (7 AM to 7 PM) for three to four consecutive days.
- Takes full responsibility for all independent aspects of assigned teaching duties.
- Designs clinical experiences and offers direct supervision and assessment of nursing students as they provide care to individuals or groups.
- Evaluates student performance and provides documented feedback aligned with course objectives.
- Available for student remediation as necessary.
- Maintains current knowledge of agency and clinical policies, procedures, and expectations, with support from agency personnel.
- Creates and disseminates written clinical assignments tailored to students' knowledge, skills, and individual learning requirements.
- Assesses and grades assignments, quizzes, tests, lab work, and clinical documentation promptly.
- May deliver didactic course content under the guidance of the course coordinator.
- Keeps the course coordinator updated on all student and agency-related matters.
- Reports to the dean or assistant dean, with direct oversight from a course coordinator.

- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in Texas.
- A minimum of two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years in the relevant instructional area.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required for teaching at specific clinical partner sites.
- Preferred experience in teaching or precepting, though not mandatory.
- A genuine enthusiasm for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Exceptional expertise in the subject matter, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional InformationThis position is classified as a Chamberlain Visiting Professor role on campus.
In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the expected compensation for this position ranges from $560 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the credit hours assigned to the course. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors permitted by law, including course type, experience, geographic location, licensure, market conditions, departmental budgets, and responsibilities.
