Job Summary and Qualifications
In this role, you will assist the Quality Management Director in developing and coordinating Clinical Quality Improvement Activities, focusing on Core Measures and selected Patient Safety Initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the implementation of the hospital-wide Quality/Performance Improvement Program.
2. Collaborate with Medical Staff leadership.
3. Identify and develop opportunities for organizational improvement, focusing on clinical outcomes.
4. Work with Quality Management Staff to ensure effective chart reviews and audits in compliance with Corporate, Regulatory, and State Requirements.
5. Engage in Clinical Case Management related to various quality initiatives.
6. Educate hospital and medical staff on performance improvement methodologies and current Core Measures.
7. Foster positive customer service with both internal and external stakeholders.
8. Actively participate or lead Quality/Performance Improvement Teams as necessary.
9. Communicate with physicians to obtain orders and document tests, supplementing medical records as needed.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Must hold a valid nursing license in the State of Texas; CPHQ certification is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience is required; experience in Quality Management is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Strong leadership capabilities and knowledge of Joint Commission standards.
- Ability to understand clinical and outcome criteria and demonstrate problem-solving and organizational skills.
