Adtalem Global Education is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Faculty member to join our team in the Community Health department. As a Clinical Faculty, you will be responsible for implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Clinical Supervision: Plans and implements clinical experiences for nursing students, providing direct supervision and evaluation of their performance in delivering nursing care to individuals or groups.
- Course Coordination: Develops and posts written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
- Evaluation and Feedback: Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
- Remediation and Support: Is available for remediation of students as required or needed.
- Agency and Clinical Partnerships: Orients and maintains current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of agency/clinical personnel.
- Grading and Assessment: Grades homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
- Communication and Reporting: Keeps course coordinators informed of all student and agency issues and concerns, and reports to the dean or assistant dean as required.
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in Texas.
- At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at specific clinical partner sites.
- Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
- A genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care.
- Operate with a sense of responsibility and purpose with the desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community.
