Position Title: Patient Service Representative - Bilingual
Overview:
The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the office. This position involves various clerical tasks including managing phone calls, welcoming patients and visitors, and organizing appointment schedules in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist all patients and visitors, whether in person or via phone.
- Maintain a courteous and professional phone demeanor, adhering to proper telephone etiquette.
- Address inquiries from patients, potential patients, and visitors with respect and professionalism.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-organized.
- Register new patients and update existing patient records by gathering detailed personal and financial information.
- Facilitate patient flow by informing providers of patient arrivals, monitoring delays, and communicating effectively with both patients and clinical staff.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality by securing protected health information and ensuring proper log-off procedures for computer systems.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Proficiency in telephone etiquette, customer service, basic computer applications (Word and Excel), time management, multitasking, and organizational skills are essential. A high school diploma or GED is required. Strong customer service skills and PC proficiency are necessary. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Work Environment:
This role is situated in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include regular communication, frequent standing and walking, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Position Type:
This is a full-time role with variable hours, including weekends.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
