As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Registered Dietitian will engage in the evaluation of patients' nutritional health and formulate evidence-based dietary care strategies for individuals of all ages facing various health challenges, including but not limited to Type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, and weight management.

QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A four-year degree in Dietetics or a related field, with a preference for two years of experience in community or clinical nutrition education or completion of a dietetic internship with RD/RDN credentials.
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentials from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Certification in CPR and AED for Healthcare Professionals through recognized organizations.
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card from the appropriate authorities.
- Proven excellence in customer service and the ability to engage with diverse individuals effectively.
- Strong competency in nutrition education methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant applications.
- Experience in motivational interviewing and cultural competency.
- Valid Arizona driver's license and current auto insurance.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
POSITION DUTIES
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and document care plans in the electronic health record.
- Provide nutrition education and health promotion to clients and collaborate with the Health Education team on preventative strategies.
- Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Evaluate and educate patients regarding nutrition-related medications and dietary supplements.
- Develop and review educational materials and guidelines for nutrition and preventive health services.
- Refer patients to appropriate team members and resources as necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and assist in report completion as required.
- Engage in professional development through training and conferences.
- Utilize exceptional customer service and communication skills in all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the organization’s mission.
