Position Summary:
Donohoe Companies Inc. is in search of a dedicated Construction Project Supervisor to become a vital part of our Building Enhancements division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee on-site planning, staffing, budgeting, and supervision.
  • Ensure projects are completed successfully within time and budget constraints, managing both self-performed and subcontracted work.
  • Maintain effective relationships with owners and architects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols that meet or exceed company standards.
  • Implement quality assurance measures at the job site.
  • Assist in developing initial project schedules, providing insights on constructability and methodologies.
  • Establish and uphold project logistics and maintenance plans.
  • Participate actively in coordination meetings with owners, architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and enforce a project-specific quality assurance program for all subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on monthly progress reports.
  • Monitor jobsite control measures, including daily and weekly reporting, RFI initiation, and labor management.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of project plans, specifications, contracts, and related documents.
  • Ensure timely project completion through effective schedule management.
  • Adhere to all insurance, safety, labor relations, and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements.
  • Foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Identify potential new projects with existing clients.

Qualifications:

A degree in construction management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum experience of 3+ years for Assistant Supervisor or 5+ years for Supervisor roles is required.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.

Proficiency in construction-related software for scheduling and project management is necessary.

Willingness to work at various locations is required.


Physical Requirements:

This position involves moderate to heavy physical activity. Employees must be able to navigate an active construction site, including climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times on the job site.


Work Environment:

The primary work setting is an active construction site, with some tasks performed in a jobsite trailer or temporary office. Employees may encounter varying noise levels and must be prepared to work under tight deadlines and in diverse weather conditions.


Telework Policy:

This position does not support telework or remote work opportunities.
