Position Overview:

The Project Manager plays a crucial role in the comprehensive planning and scheduling of projects, overseeing resource distribution, project financials, estimating costs, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. The responsibilities of the construction project manager encompass a wide range of project management aspects, including:

  • Overseeing the construction project from inception to completion.
  • Utilizing Egordian software for project estimation.
  • Collaborating with clients to define a complete project scope.
  • Playing a pivotal role in project planning, budgeting, and resource identification.
  • Forming teams, setting objectives for each member, and assigning specific responsibilities.
  • Managing project finances, tracking expenses, and mitigating risks.
  • Ensuring construction activities align with a predetermined timeline.
  • Developing project work plans and adjusting them as necessary.
  • Communicating effectively with contractors responsible for various project phases.
  • Coordinating efforts among all project stakeholders, including architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and laborers.
  • Regularly monitoring construction progress and conducting status meetings with subcontractors and owner representatives.
  • Maintaining strict compliance with budgetary constraints, quality, and safety standards.
  • Conducting periodic inspections of construction sites.
  • Ensuring the completeness of project documentation.
  • Identifying potential disputes and claims arising from project design and construction elements.

Required Skills:

Candidates must possess a strong management and leadership background in federal contracts and/or public/private infrastructure projects, along with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Self-confidence, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are essential. Candidates should be in good physical condition and capable of travel as needed, with the ability to maintain assigned work hours and endure tasks over extended periods.

The Project Manager will supervise assigned project staff, ensuring contract performance, safety, and quality at the site.

Required Experience:

  • PMP Certification with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including 7 years in a supervisory role.
  • A four-year degree in engineering or construction management is mandatory.
  • At least ten years of experience in construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of MEP building systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is crucial.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel) is required.
  • Experience with government contracts is preferred.
