Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Technology Sales Account Representative to join our team at Telecom Business Solutions. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new sales opportunities, nurturing existing customer relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully sell and manage structured cabling and technology installation activities, including cabling, WiFi, security camera, IP phone systems, IT managed services, and other technology device installation.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience and embody Telecom's professionalism and courtesy when dealing with prospects and clients.
  • Exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations that resonate with your prospects.
  • Effectively manage the change order process by accurately estimating, documenting, and submitting change orders for work outside the project's original scope and addressing additional customer requests while ensuring compliance with company policies and contract terms.
  • Cultivate and nurture customer relationships.
  • Generate new sales leads primarily through in-person interactions, supplemented by phone communication.
  • Oversee projects, both small and large, within the low voltage domain.
  • Champion the company's Core Values to uphold and reinforce our unique company culture.
  • Establish partnerships and affiliations with local organizations.
  • Take full accountability for project labor and productivity to meet project labor and materials budget targets.
  • Thoroughly analyze bid documents, including project plans and specifications, to evaluate opportunities.
  • Accurately estimate costs, prepare quotations, and secure project opportunities.
  • Expand your client base through referrals and proactive territory canvassing.
  • Serve as the central point of contact, ensuring effective communication between internal and external stakeholders, including general contractors, owners, technicians, office staff, employees, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain a consistently professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Attend project meetings across all project phases, including preconstruction and construction meetings.
  • Forge and nurture meaningful business relationships with customers, vendors, and general contractors.

Requirements:

  • Valid US driver's license and reliable transportation with the ability to commute to client locations and the office in Hallam, PA.
  • Drive results and foster growth.
  • Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and floor plans.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling industry, encompassing technology, quality, and safety standards.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from various sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service abilities.
  • Able to learn and support new and evolving technologies.
  • Skilled in researching solutions and technical information.
  • Maintains good work habits under pressure and remains flexible during times of change.
  • Effective at prioritizing and multitasking within deadlines while maintaining high work quality.
  • Conducts duties in a professional manner with an emphasis on appearance.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • The work environment for this position is a combination of indoor business office and construction environment with option to work from home at times.
  • Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to work in construction type environments and access projects where uneven and cluttered conditions may exist.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is required to stand and walk.
  • The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance.
