Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Duke Regional Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including administering treatments, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining patient records.">
  • Clinical Support: Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.">
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of care.">
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.">

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you must have:

">
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.">
  • Listing on the Nurse Aid Registry of North Carolina or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor in North Carolina or certification as an Emergency Medical Technician in North Carolina or certification as a Behavioral Health Technician by The Academy of Addiction Professionals or the American Medical Certification Association.">
  • BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by the end of new hire orientation.">
  • CPI certification is strongly preferred.">

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
