About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Duke Health. This role will provide direct patient care and support the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant - Clinical Support Specialist will perform routine administrative and patient care supportive duties that assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients. Responsibilities may include taking medical histories, recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, and documenting patient information in the electronic health record.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a strong foundation in medical assisting and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting and be certified or eligible to become certified as a Medical Assistant (CMA). High school graduation or equivalent required. Preference given to those with an Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or higher.

Salary Range

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
