Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic IT leader to join our team as a Director of IT Strategy and Operations. As a key member of our PlayStation Studios team, you will be responsible for providing overall strategic direction in the creation, implementation, and delivery of innovative IT services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Work with all departments and functions to build and lead cross-team strategic development and support plans that define goals, important metrics, decision points, critical paths, timelines, risks, assumptions, alternative scenarios, and budgets.
  • IT Operations: Coordinate IT-related activities with other teams throughout studios as needed, ensuring business continuity and recovery of studio's information systems.
  • Service Delivery: Collaborate closely with central SIE IT teams to develop fit-for-purpose Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and Operational Level Agreements (OLA's) that meet with studio expectations.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze business requirements by partnering with key customers across the both the studio and SIE to develop solutions for studio IT needs.
  • Team Leadership: Build an environment for teams to innovate, self-improve and implement quickly and with accuracy, and champion innovation and creativity, diversity and inclusion, collaboration and communication.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or 15 years progressive experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Enterprise IT leadership, with a strong business sense and judgment, and the ability to think strategically about business issues.
  • Skills: Knowledgeable in the utilization of ITIL Process Framework principles, and possess a technical background working in a classified environment that includes experience in solving problems connectivity issues, hardware and software support, hands-on and remote support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience leading IT teams in game studios or other creative production environments is highly preferred.
  • Travel: May require some travel to other company offices (10-15%).
