This position is within the American Airlines Credit Union at a prominent airport location. The primary responsibility involves cultivating long-term member relationships by aligning member requirements with American Airlines Credit Union's offerings, services, and lending solutions.

Your Responsibilities

+ Process new loan applications, which entails interviewing members, evaluating credit reports and documentation, and recommending the most suitable products to fulfill member needs.

+ Utilize lending authority to appropriately manage all loan requests, including consumer loans.

+ Foster and enhance the positive reputation of the Credit Union.

+ Represent the Credit Union at special events or public engagements.

+ Collaborate with branch and department managers to identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities.

+ Investigate member inquiries and provide timely solutions as necessary.

+ Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all branch functions to ensure adequate support and coverage at all times.

+ Implement and uphold internal controls and security protocols in accordance with Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.

+ Promote a culture that emphasizes teamwork, service excellence, and relationship building.

+ Assume the responsibilities of a Member Services Representative as required.

+ Provide Notary Services as needed.

+ Offer coverage during management absences.

+ May require working a rotating Saturday schedule based on job location.

+ Perform additional duties as assigned.

+ The selected candidate will be accountable for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account-related information as part of their responsibilities and for adhering to all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications for Success

+ High School diploma or GED equivalent.

+ Must be able to work in-person at the assigned branch.

+ Strong background in a financial institution with relevant consumer loan processing or underwriting experience within the past year.

+ Job level will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent financial services experience that equips the candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively perform essential job functions.

+ Experience in a lending and sales-oriented environment.

Skills and Certifications

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education.

+ Must pass FAA criminal background checks for unescorted access to airport security areas, if applicable.

+ Excellent member service skills.

+ Ability to thrive in a sales-driven environment with a focus on cross-selling Credit Union products and services.

+ Capable of performing in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple tasks, and functioning as a vital team member.

+ Professional interaction with all employees and members.

+ Proficiency in English is required; Spanish language skills are a plus.

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Competence in basic math calculations and data analysis.

+ Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Effective prioritization of tasks and meeting deadlines.

+ Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.

+ Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends.

+ Willingness to travel overnight.

+ Consistent performance and attendance.

+ Ability to pass American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks.
